Crossing It Up With Coach Shawn McCray

On this episode of KROSS BARZ Big OH! and J. Tanae' interview Coach Shawn "OG" McCray of Central High School located in Newark, NJ.  Coach McCray made his film debut on the 2018 YouTube series The Best Shot, with NBA Legends LeBron James (executive producer) and Jay Williams (co-producer/ESPN basketball analyst).  This documentary follows Coach McCray, Central High School faculty and their basketball team through the trials and triumphs of inner-city life. Coach McCray is a youth mentor and prides himself on "crossing it up" by using academics and sports to combat poverty, fixed mindsets, and gang violence. Shawn McCray's life is a true testament of will and determination. It truly takes a village, and a Zoo Crew, to make an impact and inspire change.
