In this "No Gloves, Just Barz" interview, Mr. Griffin spoke candidly about his childhood in Chicago, Illinois. His parents were supportive in his endeavors to become a boxer and after a several years of taking a break after his father passed away, Montell happened upon an opportunity of a lifetime...to be a member of the 1992-1993 United States Olympic Boxing Team. You can call it kismet, but we call it divine order. Initially purchased by his father, Montell currently runs a gym in Chicago called "Windy City Boxing". Montell is known for his controversial victories over James Toney and Roy Jones Jr.
