KROSS BARZ

Moods & Moments with Monifah

Big OH! & J. Tanae'

On this episode of KROSS BARZ, Big OH! and J. Tanae' sit down with R&B artist Monifah. Monifah began her career at just seven years old, landing a spot in a Hi-C commercial. From that moment, her path in entertainment was set. Over the years, she’s made a name for herself in theatre and television, including  the show *R&B Divas*. It was Hip Hop legend Heavy D, however, who encouraged her to pursue a solo career. He saw her talent as something beyond just background vocals. Her iconic hits like “I Miss You” and “Touch It” continue to evoke powerful nostalgia from the 1990s. In this interview, Monifah opens up about her journey to sobriety, her evolving relationship with her daughter, and how she’s found peace and growth mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.
